Honda Racing Reporting Live from Pirelli World Challenge at Lime Rock Park

Honda Racing giving the inside scoop on NSX GT3 at Lime Rock Park.

Honda’s racing arm, Honda Performance Development, likes to give insights at every event they attend on their YouTube channel. It’s a cool look at racing from the inside.

This past weekend, Pirelli World Challenge, one of my personal favorite racing series, was at Lime Rock Park. HPD tuned in with some quick updates on their Acura NSX GT3 race car. Part one is above, and part two can be found below.

As cool as the NSX GT3 is, my preference is the lower rung, “street car” classes. The cars are affordable and relatable, and the driving is knife-edged. The “TCA” and “TCB” classes are the ones to watch, with cars like Mazda Miatas, Mini Coopers, and of course, the tenth-gen Civic Si duke it out for sport compact racing supremacy. The new Si is an amazingly capable machine it seems, road and track.

While Honda Racing/HPD didn’t show the TCA Civic Si any love, Pirelli World Challenge was sure to. Honda driver Tom O’Gorman can really wheel that 2017 Civic Si coupe.

He runs Corvette Forum, 6SpeedOnline, Honda-tech, and LS1tech, among other Internet Brands Automotive websites. His work has been featured by several other prominent automotive outlets, including Jalopnik and Autobytel.

He obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science at the Ohio State University in 2013, then pivoted from covering politics and policy to writing about his automotive adventures, something that, he says, is a lot more fun. Since that time, he has established connections with most of the world's major automakers, as well as other key brands in the automotive industry.

He enjoys track days, drifting, and autocross, at least, when his cars are running right, which is uncommon. You can check out what he's up to on his YouTube channel, as well as his Jake Stumph Racing Instagram account. He can be reached via email at stumph.jake@gmail.com
