DA gauge cluster/speedo cable squeaking?

My 92 DA with 196k original miles has a squeaking noise coming from the gauge cluster above about 25mph. It sounds a lot like the speedometer cable just need some lube but I'm not sure. Anybody...

My shift linkages (Due to a short shifter) always rattle together at the same rpm range, although I'm sure you would be able to tell if it was that, just another possibility.

Neither does anybody on here...it was customized and is different car to car. Try to follow the wires back to their source, should point you to some kind of switch.

Only if it is stuck in the forward position are they obligated to fix it. Otherwise they will say you can manually buckle it. OP, if your seatbelt is stuck back, use the tool and move it forward...

I just assumed a YS1 was a YS1. And from what I've seen the YS1 had the same gearing as a B16 Tranny. I didn't dig deep enough into it I guess. That's odd that they used the same code for...

Point is, in order to compare motors they have to have the same transmission in order for it to really be a motor comparison

BTW, a YS1 tranny is STOCK in all DA's and DB's including the B17 GSR. They have the EXACT same gear ratio as B16 trannys and the YS1 used in all 2nd gen integras was the same one used on the JDM...

We're not talking about turboing. A 140hp motor is slower than a 160hp motor with the same tranny. And you CAN'T compare a motor when they have different trannys because you're now comparing...

I'm talking about an original GSR with a B17 VS. a DA LS. They both have the YS1 tranny which is the same gearing as a B16 tranny. My DA LS will woop a DC LS any day just because of the shorter...

My reservoir, Lines and motor were frozen solid so i couldn't drain it buy holding the motor on until i thawed it out. It was so frozen the motor wouldn't even make a humming sound like it was...

That makes no sense. Because the GSR and the LS both had the same YS1 tranny, and the B17 is faster. You can say to put a short geared tranny on any motor and it will beat another but you can't...

Because everybody is trying to be "JDM" now. Remember when the cars in need for speed used to be cool, then that became rice once everybody stated doing it is became lame. Same thing with JDM.

Usually the sunroof drain tube. It gets plugged often. I doubt its the tail light seals if you've never changed them. The antenna could be it too, since its on the left side. There is a drain...

I put water in mine not thinking about winter and it froze over. I started to take off all the splash guards and stuff to get at it to thaw it out. PITA. I ended up just pumping hot water in it til...

He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who's into the "forum stuff" like us. It doesn't hurt to try though. And that LS he is going to buy comes with the YS1 so I'm not too worried if the tranny is...

Get an original (92-93) GSR. They are rare and you will get respect if you have a clean original DB2. There were less DB2's produced than USDM ITR's

In simplest terms, yes. As well as lower compression and a wee little bit more displacement. It also doesn't have the 2 stage intake manifold among other differences
