Go to your local Acura dealer they should replace them for free.

The metal spring inside is broken. Mine did the same, however depending on how old it is, acura will NOT replace it. I had the same problem, they ripped it apart, pretended to fix it, then charged me. I tried to use it, then retract it, and no dice. I went in and threatened to shove his tool chest up his a$$ if he didn't fix it. All I can say is they gave me my money back, I got a free oil change, then I bought one at an autowrecker for 10 bucks. In short, just go get a used one.

yes, because it's a safety issue...If something happens to you and they find it to be a belt failure Acura can be in trouble.

Only if it is stuck in the forward position are they obligated to fix it. Otherwise they will say you can manually buckle it. OP, if your seatbelt is stuck back, use the tool and move it forward manually. Then take it to the dealer, it will be free of charge. Plus a free carwash

Federal law states safety features in cars must be lifetime warrented. If your seatbelt does not operate properly Acura is obligated to repair or replace it. If your dog chews through your belt however, you're buying a new one. The warrenty is good only for part failure, not part damage or use (i.e. airbag deployment). So in short, if your belt is stuck open, go to Acura.
