i was looking at a b-series casing this weekend .. the reverse switch hole looks to be the same size as the drain plug and at the opposite side of the tranny at about the same level as the fill hole...

maybe the axle nut wasn't tight enough, either not enough torque or something that didn't allow the nut to seat properly on the hub, like a cv that wasn't threaded far enough or the wrong nut. rusted...

i use the fuel level in the paddock to guess post race weight .. i almost always do sprint races, so i don't check the level on track.
we've checked the stock gauge and it doesn't read linearly...

there's also Motul MoCool .. but being able to find water wetter (at canadian tire, autozone or whatever) at any local town next to a race track is a huge plus.

you don't need to use reverse threads or weld anything if you're just replacing the outer tie rods.
just get a steel bar, drill a hole through it and tap both ends .. the steering end is 14x1.5mm,...

i agree with Lo-Buck and JW on this .. for a n/a b-series race motor, block everything on the back of the block and vent the valve cover. No pcv or connections to the intake.

simplistically .. in the rear yes, but you're changing your roll stiffness distribution at the same time, making the rear do more of the work and unburdening the fronts.. your overall grip goes up!

if you have rear grip .. why throw it away!? add more roll stiffness back there to get your balance .. stiffer springs, sway bar, add spacers in rear to increase the track, more camber .. also...
