idle ajustment?
ok i have a gsr swap in my eg hatch, i have eliminated the iacv recently, now the car wont idle, it wont stay on unless i hold the gas pedal, at the moment i have the throttle cable tighter so it wont shut off and i know that not the right way so i wanna fix it. theres a lil screw on the tb that is supposed to adjust the idle but it barely moves and when it does it doesnt make a diference in the idle...what way do i turn it to increase the idle clockwise or counter clockwise?? or does that adjustment screw work with the iacv??

Re: idle ajustment?
What do you think the IACV is designed to do? If it was unnecessary, why would Honda waste money installing one on your engine? The coolant hoses are unnecessary for the IACV control idle speed, but the throttle body air ports are.

Re: idle ajustment?
hey man thanks alot u really helped me out, i think am gonna reinstall the iacv but without the coolant hoses, i had plugged up the 2 ports with 2 pennies and quick steel, so am gonna have to try to chisel it off..and about the fitv i dont really need it since it doesnt get too cold here
