Default idle ajustment?

ok i have a gsr swap in my eg hatch, i have eliminated the iacv recently, now the car wont idle, it wont stay on unless i hold the gas pedal, at the moment i have the throttle cable tighter so it wont shut off and i know that not the right way so i wanna fix it. theres a lil screw on the tb that is supposed to adjust the idle but it barely moves and when it does it doesnt make a diference in the idle...what way do i turn it to increase the idle clockwise or counter clockwise?? or does that adjustment screw work with the iacv??

Idle adjust is on the IAC, that adjustment screw doesn't do anything.. you can take it out and idle wont change.

Why did you delete the IACV? It's what keeps the idle speed steady under different load conditions. Reinstall it.

What do you think the IACV is designed to do? If it was unnecessary, why would Honda waste money installing one on your engine? The coolant hoses are unnecessary for the IACV control idle speed, but the throttle body air ports are.

ok so i can run the iacv without the coolant lines? i also dont have coolant line to the fitv...what is the purpose of the coolant goin through the iacv?

The coolant lines are just to keep the IACV from freezing. They're only needed where winters are very cold. For example, the hoses would not be needed in Houston.

i also dont have coolant line to the fitv...
The FITV absolutely needs the coolant hoses to work.

hey man thanks alot u really helped me out, i think am gonna reinstall the iacv but without the coolant hoses, i had plugged up the 2 ports with 2 pennies and quick steel, so am gonna have to try to chisel it off..and about the fitv i dont really need it since it doesnt get too cold here

If you remove the FITV, your idle speed may be too low when the engine is cold.
