car wont rev past 1500-2000 rpm without bogging after clean fitv
I have a 97 honda civic 4 door 4 cylinder. I bought the car with an idle surge, I read a few post on how to fix it, which suggested cleaning the fitv. I took it off and took off the sensor with the 2 screws (has a plastic piece and a magnetic thing on the end which orientates the cylinder sleeve). I cleaned the cylinder sleeve with carb cleaner due to carbon build-up. I think i put everything the way it should be. I cranked the car over and it idled good. Then tried to rev it up and it bogged down like its starving for air or something, let the gas pedal go and it stays at the idle(700 rpm). I can step up the idle by tapping it going to about 2500 rpm than it boggs down anything past that. The car did just fine as far as running up the rpms before cleaning the fitv. Did I miss something?, Please help, any help would be awesome.

picture of the cold air-intake, does have two holes that are open, nothing connects to them, wondering if anything should go connect to them, like a vacuum line?
