Exactly.
Some turbos also have what's called an internal wastegate that comes built into the turbo. To increase the boost you just get a boost controller and connect it inline with the vacuum line to your wastegate.
My turbo came stock running 7lbs. I bought a boost controller and stuck it inline with the vacuum to the wastegate and when I turn a screw on it it will increase or decrease the boost. I'm now running 15psi on the same turbo.

as it says its set to 9psi standard inless specifid its an external wastegate tho would this mean i could not do the same idea as you? or can i get a boost controller and it will work fine?
Sorry for the noob questions just as we were on the matter .

Re: (rosco)
witht he wastegate in that kit, if you run the vac line from the compressor to the gate, the car will run 9 psi -+ 1-2 all the time, depending on the atmospheric pressure. so with that setup, the least you can run is 9. then a controller will be able to increase up from there.

Yup yup, ^^what he said. Actually, many people prefer external wastegate (like in that kit) anyways. It's nice because boost is regulated before the turbo, so it's more reliable in a sense. Less fluctuation in boost generally, a nice boost controller will help with consistency also.
