Default is it safe to run a wastegate without spring?

Hi,

just a quick question, if i want to prevent my turbo from makeing boost (for tuning proposes) is it safe to run the car without a wastegate spring so that the wastegate is held open? or does the wastegate can be damaged from this?

Thanks

Its just fine, but in higher RPMs you will build a bit of boost regardless. I did this for a good week without any problems.
