Default How to make LS faster beside turbo or vtec

Wondering, what can you do to make the LS a little faster beside going turbo and goin ls/vtec... All I can think of weight reduction, AEM CAI, DC 4-1, Apexi N1, Cams which kind that isn't too agressive for daily drive to keep it reliable still???? Which intake manifold and throttle body would be good for the LS??? Anyone got an all motor LS with impressive numbers??? No Nitrous, turbo, and vtec.... Just all motor on stock bottom end lolz

I plan on doing the same thing, stock all motor with some upgrades, I really want something ALOT faster then my Stock GS teg, but I can't see putting to much into it yet. I have searched and found that alot of people with ls/gs tegs really like their skunk2 intake manifolds. as for header and exhust, I can't see spending all the money for going all comptech on a stock ls/gs but I want it SO BAD! I plan on dropping some wieght, cai, intake, header/exhust, and redoing the whole suspension, tein coilovers, and comptech rear swaybar&tie bar. if I ain't happy with the motor after the upgrades then I am going to try a custom turbo set up, or a Kswap.

No ****, perhaps you should try various keywords with "B18B"

I don't think you are going to get very far with an all motor LS on stock 9.2:1 compression pistons. Head milling will only get you so far.

Go and contact Crower or Crane, they both make cams for your application. You might want to contact JE because your gonna need more compression to with more aggressive cams. Then get your intake manifold, throttle body, etc.

have bottom end rebuilt w/ new pistons and rod bolts = more compression, more revability
valvetrain and cam upgrade up top.

SEARCH!!!! its been covered, im a newb and i know this.

First off about your "car" what do you want done, i guess you stated that you didnt want VTEC nor Turbo. So i guess you want the NA route. What are you pwer goals? How much you have to spend? daily driven or track? Anything else i am missing? also. You knw that making an LS fast is hard, let it be LS/GS/ or RS, it still hard. Not w/o spending alot of dough for the NA route

Sleeving your motor, forged pistons and rods, revamped your head. SO this way you can rev freely up to 10k rpm, knife edging your crankshaft, it still a huge project. Or you can do the budget way, cai, headers, exhaust, upgraded fuel rail, knick knacks here and there. In the end you still have a stock motor with alot of mods around it. Why dont just keep your stock motor and peice a turbo togetther for that price?

So your question is vague. First step:

Search [I am sure its been covered here on HT. I see that you have made over 2k posts so i am sure you know better then that.]

Ask [yourself what it is you want to do]

Know [Read, Read, Read.. know what it is you trying to do, not just walk into a wall blindfolded.]

COSTS [always know how much it costs and how much you have to spend]

just my two cents

Try finding an Si or GSR tranny, works well with the low end torque and acceleration of the b18b. You may want to consider the GSR over the Si for daily drivability/gas mileage.
