All motor b18b can i do this?
Hey i need help with this. I purchased a 95 B18b LongBlock and i don't want to do a Ls/Vtec i want to build an all motor b18b. I want to run high compression. I need help. Can i do this setup. B18b longblock with crower stage 2 valvetrain, with crower rods with ctr pistons with gsr tranny and act clutch and apexi safc dyno tuned for good results? To install stock CTR pistons what else needs to be modified or can it be just installed or would it be better or easier to install ITR pistons? Please i need to know. any info would be great thanks.

Sorry to ask a ? on your topic but I didnt want to start a new thread. What kind of pistons and rods would I use if i bore out an ls motor to 2.0? Thanks for all the help.
Ive heard more people say its better to resleeve the ls block to 84mm than to mess with the b20 because it puts out around the same no. but the ls is a little more reliable with higher compression in it then the b20.
what you should do is , bore it out to a 2.0L and put type r head, and tune it just right , you will be unstopable.
2) You can't 'bore it out' to 2.0L... Resleave perhaps.
the LS "bored out" still costs more and is not as strong as the B20

Man, that article is six years old
I would just overbore/resleave the block you have now. It will be less expensive, and as long as you are not running N2O or FI you will be fine. Just make sure the person who is doing it knows what they are doing, and they/you use the correct sleeves. (ie, not darton if your car is going to be a daily driver)

check the ctr piston's valve reliefs compared to the non vtec head chamber, if it clears then you'll be fine .. i
be mindful of too high dynamic compression from running *small* cams as in non vtec cams, ppl runt he bigger vtec cams all the time so there is reduced dyn compression, never heard of anyone runnign non vtec cams.
