Just like the topic says, Do I need them or not. LS reving to 8500 rpms with single racing springs not dual. The cams I am running are stock regrinds from Guide so the depth is not much on the lobes. I have heard of stock retainers breaking at high rpms. This is why I am asking.

 

If you push it to 9K or over I'd look into getting them. If you don't venture into that relm do worry about it.

***edit*** and how do you expect to make power up that high on re-grinds of stock cams? i cant see that happaning.......
