Default d16 Turbo Guys.... (Fuel)

Hey gents;

I am planning on running 6psi on my apex turbo, FMIC, BOV to start out with. But i have a few questions about fuel. I know that is one of the most important parts of the equasion.

here is what i am planning on running for fuel:

VAFC
440cc injectors
Apex Fuel Upgrade that is an add-on to the Apex Kit.

What do you guys think? I am going to get the car dyno tuned but what else do I really need to make sure that I do not blow my motor up? Any input is greatly appreciated.

~Mike

If you're running the VAFC + 440's, you won't need the Apex'i fuel upgrade. The AFC hack takes care of that.

DSM 450's, resistor box, and SMCdual! It Will take car of all you problems and needs. Much cheaper than vafc

so the two of you that just posted a reply, kinda contradicted one another, if i get both, will i be hurting myself at all? I want to tune my car as accurately as possibly to limit blowing up my car and getting a CEL.

Keep the opinions coming!

i wouldnt get both, i would choose between the two.... or convert to OBD1 and get hondata... which is the best out as of now.... tuning wise

id go with the 450's and vafc.... just because... i would

if you are going to convert to OBD1, try an uber chip and tune it with the SMC500

Call Apexi back and tell them you want to buy the PowerFC. They have a tune that's specifically tuned to run with their turbo kit. All you'd need is some 440's and you could run all the way up to 10 psi easy. Or you can just get the PowerFC and run the RR regulator setup that came with the kit for now. Make sure you tell them you want the new 93 octane tune they have.

Yeah yeah it's expensive, but it's the best setup for your Civic. If you've spent the money on that nice IHI turbo don't cheap out. Of course if money is an issue, just go with the setup that somes with the turbo (do get a Walbro pump just to be safe meanwhile) and save all the money you'd spend on useless ricer bling to use for buying a PowerFC later.

Flame me if you like... I love mine. And if anyone out there wants to cry about adjustablity on it and it's limitations read this... http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/

I converted to OBDI and run a Hondata S200 and 450s. I wanted to be able to have complete control over everything. No problems to date running 9 psi daily
