Hey guys- heres my problem- My car is throwing a CEL, so i go with a paperclip to check the code. Problem is on the car I cant find the jumper- Ive torn apart the dash looking for it, and its not there? there is a blue connector, with a brown and black wire, but thats for OBD2 vehicles (I have read the CEL thread)- My question is can I just jump the wires at the ecu? If so anyone know which wires?
Don't concern yourself too much with the appearance of the wires or the connector. If the connector is in the right spot and is of the correct type (which it seems to be, judging by your description), that's the one you should be jumping.
plugs arent always the same color...what I posted is just the general "usual" colors and appearance
jump what you have...if it doesnt flash...well its not right
no harm no foul
You can jump some ecu wires...but i dont know which ones

Well I tried jumping it, and all I got was the SRS light to blink
