Default sumping the tank

Here's the process of my friend Jimmy Jones putting the sump on the tank.

Sanding the fuel tank

After sanding, cut your holes in the tank.

Spot weld

Now weld it up.

Now mounted on the car. Finished product looks good.

Heh, I wear safety glasses ALL the time...maybe to excess....but having contacts in and getting **** in your eye makes it 10x worse.

I thought I was the only one that had ever happened to. People cringe when I tell them that story. It was truly the closest thing to legal torture I could think of. And I've had it happen to me twice!!

Definately not the only one...with mine though they only pulled the metal out, the rust ring is a permanent fixture I will be sporting for the rest of my life.

Yeah having stuff dug out of your cornea(sp?) is not fun. I'd worry about that sump sitting so low; is this a street car?
