Below is a link to my last welding project. Just click the welding cart link. It's a welding cart that I gave to my dad for father's day. I had it powder coated at my friends shop. It's a little dusty in some of the pics and I hadn't mounted the casters but you'll get the idea. The site is under serious construction and the only link that's done is the welding cart one. http://pages.sbcglobal.net/sfr4dr/

Now that i am almost done with my car I think i am gona make a shifter kart, with a CR 125 motor. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Don't make your own chassis. Buy mine.

Seriously...making a "real" kart is not an easy deal. The front end geometry and the bends in the tubing are results of thousands of hours of R&D. I've been racing karts for almost 10 years now. I have complete confidence in my ability to cut and weld, but I would never even think about attempting to make my own chassis....unless I wanted to get lapped.

Good honesty Sonny, I like to see that kind of Honesty. Chassis dynamics is a scary world, just like engine physics. Tons of people go around claiming they know how an engine works, when in fact the worlds most intelligent engine builders will admit they know about 2% of what really goes on inside an engine. That's my engine rant.
Very nice Kart btw, always been a fan, never put a lot of research into it though.

I am not gona get into competion or anything i just need somthing to work on so i dont get board and tear my car apart again like i did last time - now after 3 months pretty much done. I should use the phrase 'shitfer cart' more of a high powered 'go-kart' since this will be somthing to just beat on in my neighborhood.

That's an 80cc 2 stroke Honda CR80. Lots of fun.
This setup (80cc shifter) sees about 70 mph on the sprint tracks and 100+ mph on the road courses like Sears Point.
I have yet to ride in a car that can out accelerate a shifter kart.

Any idea of where to get KA24 flanges that are reasonably priced? JGS has them for like 55 or something.

its for my SR20, the turbo sits on top.
btw i welded a vband onto an HKS t04R today, i love welding turbine housings. its NICE, everything just flowed so well. and in the end i had PERFECT shiny beads.

hot, but is that a gas tanks BETWEEN the driver's legs? you'd have to hold a gun to my head to get me in a twin jet powered gokart w/ a gas tank between your legs....though it does look ******* fun as hell!
