hey i was wondering if any of you would share how long of a pipe you use for the collector (4 pipes) i used 6 inch last time and was thinking of using 5 on the next one. anyone care to share.

this is on a full-race style manifold.

I personally haven't had the ***** to try something like that yet. I did however use 10in piping for the collectors on my dad's 350 headers, but I'm still cutting them to length and hoping to get a swage tool soon. Post up some pics. I'm kinda curious as to what 6in piping looks like

swage tool expands the ends of the pipe so you can slip another in as opposed to just butting them together.

what i mean is, what is the advantage of this design as opposed to say full-race or lovefab or obx or any of the other tubular manifolds?

That manifold's awesome I think! I wish I could make something like that...I don't really care about the dynamics of it...I just need it to transfer air

I bought mine from a business auction from a place that went under for about $500. I knew a guy that knew a guy from the auctioneers and he let me get it before it went on the block for what was owed. I should be getting in about a week. The bank has release it from stock of what went and what didn't. She's a hydraulic unit with only 2 heads but parts are available. Its hard to tell but normally I think they normally go for about $1500. Here's exactly what I have on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...i:1:1

hmmm...all I have is a tig right now. I think that if I stick the tungstun out a little bit further and up the gas it "should" come out somewhat ok. What do you guys think?

Is there a special"gassless MIG" wire to use for for stainless? I guess it's the stuff with a flux core instead of gas to keep out O2 of the weld?

I had a stainless manifold welded with regular mild steel wire but that was real MIG with gas. Seems to be a fine repair, just not really nice looking. Just wondering because I plan on getting a small cheap mig/gassless etup soon.

the one you posted..why is it so cheap? and does it only do 1/2" or can you get different things for like 1-7/8"?
