interesting but i have to ask....
what is the strength of the bolts compared to the jack?
also, what grade are the bolts and are they subject to yield before snapping?
too much jack and too little bolts could equal bullets!
since it doesn't really appear to be adjustable, why not just weld the "top" to the square tubing?
great welds btw!

the bolts are stamped ( /// L ) if you know what your bolt stampings mean.... its very high tinsel strengh and "L" for low carbon, which is a better bolt for welding. i built it mainly to push out lac bushings by using different size pipes to keep the part stright. they come out pretty easy so its not much stress on the bolts. and no its not upside down the parts are pressed right out the top. ill post some action pics.... i know that the top isnt very adjustable but i knew that when i built it and i didnt really care cause i measured the different parts that i would use it for and built it to fit them all. so its very simple just find a piece of pipe that is bigger than the bushing / bearing so that the part dont press against the roof of the press ( to keep it stright) and the actuall piston head can push out the bushing / bearing. but if the piston head is to small (for the rim of the bushing or bearing) then just use a piece of pipe there to.
