need help please
So i was driving the other and was coming to stop and all of a sudden my car locked up like i slammed on the breaks but wasnt even touching the breaks now my car woulnt move and it dies when its suppose to be in neautral. The car is a 1993 honda prelude with the h22a and is a 5speed. Any help would be much appreciated thank you
The car cranks and starts? if the tranny was locked up the wheels shouldn't spin. If the clutch was locked up then when you tried to start the car it should try to turn the tranny. Did it make any noise?
Take out the inspection plate so u can see the flywheel and see if there is any thing jamming it up and try to turn the motor by hand to ensure all the bolts and thing on the clutch are in working order ... Mine was loose and I could wiggle the flywheel and I saw a couple bolts jammed between the bell housing and the flywheel
It might not be a complete lockup. Just slightly locking it up when the clutch is engaged.

If they move freely then nothing is locked up. Its possible the pressure plate simply gave out. Explain exactly what happens when you start the car, starting with when you start to let off the clutch. Give all scenarios and be detailed, neutral, in gear, giving it gas.... Etc etc
Also when letting the cluth out right before the car dies it makes some like light grinding noises sounds like in the clutch so its most likely my clutch i hope and not my tranny
