Hard Shifting, Can't Downshift, Jerks with clutch pushed in cruising in gear
Okay I have a 00 si em1 with a s4c hydro tranny, problem started a few days ago it was getting hard to shift into all gears up or down at all speeds. Thinking syncros, then this morning just before i got to work when i would push in the clutch but leave the tranny in gear coasting it would jerk a lil bit then hit real hard. Then when I left from work it was still doing the jerking thing unless i pulled it out of gear when coasting down or stopping, also it won't downshift i have to come to a complete stop then go from first shifting fine all the way up.
Question is what is wrong with my tranny??????

Clutch disc spit out a spring. Common on B series. I bet it shifts fine with the engine off.

Probably lost a spring. It's happened to me on a car before. It's real tough to push the clutch down while it's running. Can you remove the inspection plate for the clutch and maybe spin the crank in gear or something? You may be able to see a spring flapping around in there. I know when I dropped my trans 2 of the 4 springs were bouncing around and the clutch disc was displeased.
