What is up with my tranny?????
I think it is the clutch but im not sure. When i come to a complete stop sometimes my car wont go into gear any gear that is. I have to wiggle the shifter around in neutral and play with it a lil bit and sometimes I have to force it in. But when it gets into gear, the gears shift with no problem and no grinds. Is this a clutch problem or tranny problem. It is a b16 tranny.

hows you clutch engagement? Is it consistant? If not, it could be you slave cylinder. Check your fluid and bleed your lines, if that doesnt work, then I would think it is the slave cylinder. Correct me if I wrong but if it doesnt go into first gear easily, that means its not disengaging. All the other gears can go in with out disengaging the clutch, but that defeats the whole purpose of the syncros.

It goes into first sometimes it goes in easy sometimes it feels like it rubs and sometimes it wont go in unless i wiggle shifter and put it in second or diff. gear. When i am driving i use to could just pull shifter out of gear easily now it feels like something is holding it back a lil bit. Tranny has never been open.

Re: (mchuang)
...Fluid.
My guess....
Try what Emog3 said pump the clutch a few times...
This helped me alot in my eg
Pumping it made it way easier to put it in gear...

Re: (IncrediVTec)
happened to me..but my problem was worst..checked the master and slave cylinder.. both were fine..no signs of leakage..bleed the lines..then i took the tranny apart and found that the syncros were messed up..that was causing the hard shifts and grinding..i just replaced my old tranny with a new one and put some gm trany fluid in and everything ran fine..
