wiring tech help needed asap!!!
in my many month quest to solve my code 14 (eacv) with my d15b2 i'm still getting a damn check engine light...but now i seriously need to get this thing taken care of cause my smog is almost 2 months overdue.
here is the run down...i replaced the EACV with a new one..still codes
the EACV plug consists of 2 wires on blue/yellow one black/yellow
i cut the blue/yellow and ran a direct line to ecu outside of the harness in case there was wire damaged somewhere.
no according to helms there must be a wire break between the EACV plug and the #14 Fuse under my dash...well there are so many damn wires down there i don't even know where to start..
oh and as i said the the other(possibly damaged) wire the black/yellow actually turns into a green/black where the engine harness plugs into the inside harness.
So what the hell do i do there are like 3 green/black wires around the fuse box area....is there anyway i can rig this wire to something else so it doesn't throw codes i need help quick!!!

Start by checking that the correct voltages are present on the correct pins on the connector at the component in question. Do not trust the ground wire - reference your voltage measurements to the chassis of the car - because the ground wire may be the bad one. If it's all good, then pull the ECU connectors and check continuity end to end. It's like a puzzle, you have to just use the schematics as a "road map" and follow it all through. Speaking of that, the Helms manual has good directions for tracing it all out, and in what order.
man i have a voltage meter or ohmeter or whatever but i can't tell how to even use it the instructions aren't crap...
so basically it has a red wire and black wire coming from it..but there are a bunch of settings that i don't understand...but thats my problem..
but instead of dicking around i just want to replace the 2 wires cause if there is a break i have to replace it anyway..you see. so i would rather assume that both are damaged and just fix both

Don't go by color find the correct pin on the ecu connector, and trace it that way.

hmm thats for p28 but i already fixed the direct line to the ecu its this damn black/yellow:green/black wire that leads to the #14 fuse apparently that i need to fix.

yes but i have a pm5 thats for the d15b2 engine i mentioned...obd0, which a lot different than p28 etc cause i had to build a conversion harness one time and i had to change like 30+ extra wires.

Just run a line to battery possitive temporarily to verify that is the problem. Make sure the pins in the connector are in good shape. (making good connection)

Right. If you still get the code, look elswhere.
