B20 vtec valve clearance issues

Will the stock b20 bottom end and a B16a head with complete itr valvetrain go BOOM when vtec is engaged?

unless it's, a 98 itr head! anything with bigger lift than 98 itr cams, and you'll have valve to piston contact! you can allways machnine the piston valve reliefs, to be a ble to run bigger cams
