Wire Tuck: Wire tuck gurus help me out. Pics included.
Wanted to know if it was alright to take these wires out of those plugs and depin them, and then solder them together and hide them inside that harness. One of my buddies told me that you can take the one plug with all the black and yellow wires and solder those together for the injector wires, but some of the wires run towards the harness that connect to the ECU. Are those just ground wires or something because that's what it looks like to me. Is it possible to just take all of those wires out of those two plugs and solder them together ?

The yellow and black one I would't think would be a problem, but the other connector I'm not sure about. What is that harness for? And yes the yellow and black wires are grounds. Good luck!!!!

its out of a dx 97 ek body, it's for my wire tuck. I just wanted to get rid of those connectors because they are just sitting there or maybe extend them towards the interior by soldering them.
So it's just the yellow and black wires, what about the black wires that go towards the ECU ?
I'm about to start tracing and see what I can find. Thanks homie.

OK I am lost, are we talking about wires that are black and wires that are yellow or are we talking about wires that are black/yellow, [black with yellow tracer] or yellow/black, [yellow with black tracer]????
Black wires and brown/black are ground wires, [chassis ground].
I believe there is only one yellow wire, [ECU/ECM to #4 injector].
Black/yellow is ign. power, it is 12V+, [hot in run and start].
Yellow/black is the injector relays output, [PGM-FI Main Relay] it is 12V+, [hot in run and start] black/yellow supplies power to the injectors and two (2) inputs to the ECU/ECM.
To answer your question, any lead can be depinned from a set of connectors and then soldered together, [best way is to plug the pins together and solder them, then shrink tube the connection with good quality shrink tube. 94

Same application goes for the blue plug as well, right ?

I know the Gray plug wires share the same ground function so all of them can be soldered together. What about the blue plug, can I take those pins out and solder the end of the wires individually and then heatshrink them individually then hide them in the harness ?
