Are you sure you can't put 1000 into a d and be as fast as a b?

you can just take it out and leave the harness unplugged.
remember that the threads on the block are bspt and not npt

no
you can put an oil pressure gauge in.
just pull the black cover off and take the sensor out. The oil pressure gauge should come with several different fittings, one should fit.

autometer seems to be the most popular. They do look nice.but they are expensive.I got sunpros for my civic. They where alot cheaper and they work pretty good. Theres some other brands out there you just gotta find them. Try http://www.nopi.com
the gauge will not come with a bspt to npt adapter...
you have to buy it separately from lets say;
here:
http://www.mcmaster.com/
note that a NPT thread will fit a bspt, but not well and might leak
