Oil Pressure Sensor Placement Q's?
Just had a quick question.
I was wondering if it is ok to place the oil pressure sensor on one of the ports on an oil distribtuion block adapter(sandwich adapter). Just wondering if the readings will be the same as the ones coming from the stock sensor location.
This is for an aftermarket guage/sensor.
Thanks for any replies

Most pressure switches are located right off the filter location anyways. Its one of the closest locations to the oil pump and shows the condition of the pump best.

I have my sensor on a brass tee, I also have the wire extended but the oil dummy light won't come on. The bulb isn't burned out. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

if you ground the wire going to the pressure switch does the light then come on?

I can't believe I didn't think of this. By god you're right you genius! for you! Now, the question is why it's not grounding. Brass tee? Too much teflon on the threads? Good thinkin

Yes too much resistance. Just run a wire to ground and clamp it to the pressure switch (touching the metal part of the switch) and it should work!
Good luck
