very high idle 5k
as soon as i turn on my car, car jumps to like 5,000 rpm's and stays there ive only left the car running for 10 - 15 secs max, throttle cable is completely disconnected, throttle plate is closed, i have changed the throttle body from my other car which ran with no problems, ive checked all my vacums none were leaking, i did put smaller injectors than what i previously had, i have put my finger inside the throttle body to check if the idle goes down, and it only goes down to like 3,500 rpm's, i havent check the coolant sensor and the oxygen sensor is connected but i just have it in a side so it wont throw a cel, if anyone has had this problem let me know please thanks

I agree. had the same thing happen on my h22

thanks for the ideas guys, i think it might be the intake gasket i bought it today, i checked the tps from close to full throttle and the voltage was good, i had no points where i had no readings, as for the throttle body its smaller the intake is like 65 mm and my throttle body is only like 62mm, im also not running a tb gasket but i dont think its that much of a big deal, i figured that because the idle was so high it had to be a huge *** leak some where not just a small vacum leak, i also substituded acouple ecu's , all do the same thing, but the intake manifold gasket looked like one of the ones they make with gasket paper, ill keep you guys posted on what happens thanks again
gasket changed same problem, got a code 10 and 14, which is air tempeture sensor and idle air control valve(iacv), i think i plugged in the plugs backwards, so when i got the cel, i switched them still have the same problem, dont know if i might of messed up the sensors ill replace them today

The idle problem is almost definately a huge vaccum leak. the engine wont idle that high with the throttle closed. it has to be getting air from somewhere else. make sure your im gasket is good, and then check all the other gaskets and sensors. also look for cracks. you can check areas by spraying them with starter fluid, and if the engine revs up like crazy, then that is where the leak is.
Check the fast idle thermo valve (FITV). Its on the bottom of the throttle body and has two coolant lines attached to it.
Take the t/b off, unscrew the two little screws holding the little brass plate on to the side of the FITV, if the proper side was unscrewed this will expose a white wax peice that is threaded into the body of the FITV. Try screwing this in all of the way with a screwdriver.

thanks guys for all your help i figured out what the problem was, the manifold was cracked right where the iacv went through the inside of the manifold, it was pretty hard to find though thanks again
