Default High idle

My car, 93 CX, with a 94 b18b...the car recently started idling really high...as in 4k when cold and 2.5k when warm. It also kinda gives the diesel effect when turning off, i.e. trying to still run. Anyone got any ideas, already checked the throttle cable. PS I am in Germany, there are not many Honda shops around to help.

More, there are no check engine light...I unplug the IACV and the car idles differently, the tps unplugged kills the car and the map sensor unplugged kills the car. I disconnected the FPR vac and the idle went up more. Any ideas...anyone.

I tried to adjsut the throttle cable after the car started to idle high, other than that I have not did anything to it. It is confusing me pretty bad at this point.

do you have a cel light flashing? it could be the coolant temp sensor. I saw a gs-r motor the other day with the same problem.

There is not check engine light flashing...I will check it out though...and the throttle plate idea I will get back with you on that too...I need to wait until the sun comes up to check it. Thank you for the responses.

Nope, the throttle plate is not open at all...however there is a hole, precut one, in the throttle body that leads to the TPS I beleive, when I put my finger over this hole, the throttle goes to normal...come on, any ideas guys.

Another thing you might want to try is messing with the throttle stop adjustment. Its right next to the throttle rotor and you should be able to turn it up or down. I had the same idle problems when I installed a b series tb on my y8 motor. Hope this helps some.

are you running really really rich????

if you are could be your tps..

my tps was jacked up and my car sorta acted like a diesel when i turned it off...check to see if you have it on there right if you took it off recently...it goes on kinda weird...
