help me, idle
I took my throttle body off to port + polish and the manifold.
Well, when i put it back on, whenever i start the car, it idles way high, also for some reason the tach stopped working.
And the headers get really hot very quick, i guess because its running lean. Well im sure that its bolted on tight and i redid the gasket, so what else could it be? I am afraid to start it and check everything because i dont know if its reving past redline.

what else did you take off besides teh throttle body?
could it be the timing?
NAHHH! its GOTTA be the throttle position sensor -
this must be adjusted so it shows 0.5v or less at closed throttle.
do you know how to check this?

did you port past the butterfly and not change it because that will allow more air at idel thet the tps wont accont for because its closed and then you will have your self a vacume leak.
Check to see if ur MAP sensor and your TPS are plugged in. If you have an irratic idle i would also check ur coolant level. Is it doing anything else besides idleing high? As for why the tach isn't working I'm not so sure. Nothin you have done should have caused it to not work. Check ur power wire, ground, and signal. Sorry that's all the help i can be!
No i dont know how to check the tps, can you please tell me.
And also would that affect the tach?
Oh and i tried not to port on the plate, or directly around it but i might have just a little bit, would that be enough to change the idle so much?
