Default Valve clearence adjustment

just had the complete b16a + loom from a EK transplanted in my 89CRX.My question might sound a bit stupid bcoz i haven pop the head cover to check inside.
My question is do i need to check valve lash on b16a head?...in case i pop a type r cam in it?...izzit runnin hydro valve lash adjustment or shims?

You will definitely need to do a valve adjustment when installing any kind of cams

I would check valve clearance as well as many other things if you just got a used motor. Timing belt, water pump, head gasket just to name a few others....
