Valve adjustment? B16a

If you put in new cams, gears, valve springs, and retainers, will this affect the need for valve adjustments and will the factory specs still be maintained?

always re-adjust yer valve clearances if you mess with the valvetrain at all

Depending on which type of cams you're using, your valve lash specs may vary.

Always readjusted your valves to the specifications recommended by the camshaft manufacturer.

yes, re-adjust the valves....it only takes about 15 minutes.....i had mine adjusted the other day....always make sure the valve clearances are good....

And don't waste your money having someone do it, it took me 40 mins the first time and has taken me 20 mins each time thereafter.
