trouble code

Default trouble code

i got a 98 civic and the check engine light is on.....i just wondering anyone know how to get the trouble code without a scanner?? or is it even possible??

same way as obd1
on the passenger kick panel theres a blue connector jumper the two wires and turn the igniton key to on then count the codes

hmmmmm........the OBDll connector is on the driver side and i check the passenger kick panel and don't have anything blue there.could it be it is a Canadian car eh??
lets say the OBD connector is the same which pins do i jump??

did u gut the cat? if you did to cure this problem and solve the check light, go and purchase a o2 simulator

no i didn't gut the cat...every thing is stock.the car only have 58k since i got it new.so i guess it would be either the o2 sensor or the cat right? so how can i find out which one is not working right?
