Transmission Guru; your run of the mill hydro v cable ?'s
I'm looking for someone that can explain a few questions i have about the internals of a hydro tranny vs a cable.
I know that with in the actual "shift changing" mechanism one is liquid pressured while the other works on a basic shift fork.
I was wondering beyond the case, and that shifting equipment is there anything else that is substantially different within the transmission.
Appreciated,
cingham

They both have a shift fork. Just one is pulled by cable mechanically and the other is pushed by a hydrolic cylinder (slave sylinder) All hydro is refering to is the way the clutch is applied.
