Hi, I recently tried rebuilding a 00 EX civic tranny because the input shaft bearing was bad. Not a smart thing to do on the weekend when all the parts places would have them. So i looked up gear ratios and found that a few different ones had the same gear ratio so I drove 45 minutes to a pick-n-pull to get the tranny put it in, then when I drove it... sure enough... the gears were diffferent, but at least I got it done for monday so the kid could get to work. So now he wants me to reinstall the other one, fixed of course.
LONG STORY SHORT: Is there anywhere I can get an input shaft bearing besides the dealership? I've been looking but have found nothing
Thanks
Chris

honda will probably be the easiest place, I would say that you can look at the product description and source another bearing with the same dimensions, but Honda didn't give the dimensions in the product description. If you are really set on this, I can try to get the dimensions of one. This one is for a d16y8 transmission. The sohc vtec (d16z6 and d16y8) have a larger bearing case. So this will not work in a dx/lx/vx/hx/cx
