mainshaft/input shaft...same??
my tranny is going and i'm told its most likely the input shaft bearing. my friends EX was at the honda dealer today and he was told that it was the mainshaft bearing. are these the same thing? i know what the input shaft is and i'm wondering if its called the mainshaft as well or if they're two completely different things. thanks
oh yea i'm also asking cuz on all the online honda parts databases i know of, they dont specify with the bearings. there's a bunch of them just listed as "BEARING"
theres only 2 shaft/s for the tranny the mainshaft which is the shaft that goes into the pressure plate and disc. and the counter shaft which is in the tranny which has gear 4 and 5 on it..i belive the input shaft is the same thing as the main shaft..it makes sense..
