Grinding d15b7 tranny in second gear.
Hey I'm new to the site so I am still getting used to how it works. My issue is that when shifting fast into second at about 7 grand second grinds like a bitch and than kicks out. What is causing this and what can I do to fix the problem? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

could be a synchro? could be the counter shaft bearing walked out of place? could be you just suck at shifting to second? if it's a synchro or bearing, don't mess with rebuilding it. if you plan to stay with d's, get an ex tranny.

blocker ring/synchro... get one of those golden eagle magnetic plugs... it helps me a lot in determining the problems I had with my tranny, bronze fillings= syncs, silver= bearings, gray-ish/dirty metal= gears... Use synchromesh fluid for now to temporarily remedy the problem

Isn't your redline 6800? Mine did the same thing and I switched to Honda MTF and that took alot of the grinds away. But remember, that's just a bandaid.
