Default Tranny making noises

Whenever im rolling and i put the tranny in first gear with and without the clutch engaged, it makes a weird speed dependant whine. is this gonna lead to some problems??? thanks.

No, I assume you have a sohc. The main input shaft bearings in those trannies are trash. The cage that holds the ball bearings apart from each other is plastic or at least no metal. When you are hard on the tranny, the gears "walk" away from each other and you send one shaft pounding on that bearing during heard launches.

Dont worry though, they all do it. If you want to replace it go for it, but another tranny would probably be easier. Thats if you want to. It still works.
