do i need a 99-00 civic si wiring harness for my b16a swap in a 96 hatch? this is what i was told can someone clarify this for me. my car is 1996 civic dx hatchback. thanks any information would be helpful

I believe you just lengthen a couple wires on your stock civic harness and you just add the Vtec soleniod, Oil pressure, knock sensor wires separetly to the correct ECU pin out's. I may be wrong tho.

I assume you have a 2nd generation B16A or newer. If so, reuse your stock engine harness. If you have an OBD-1 P30 ECU, then get a harness adapter from OBD-2 to OBD-1. Reuse your stock engine harness by extending the connectors wherever necessary. Wiring of the distributor takes some creative electronics knowledge.
