Default LSvtec wiring dilemma

Hey guys, I'm going to be dropping a B16a head onto a B18B block. I have some questions on using P30 pistons but I'll save those for another day.. my current infatuation is the ECU and wiring harness...

I currentlly have a 96 GSR chassis and wiring harness, with a 05 b18b engine and a p72 ECU which is odb2a.

The b16 came with a dizzy and everything else including the engine harness.

My question is, is it best for me to grab a chipped obd1, 2 or 0 ecu, and respectively convert my engine (obd2-1 harness). also will all of the sensors and activators work with my current plugs or will I have to re solder them with the connectors from my obd0 harness onto my obd2 harness if I do keep the 2 harness?
Im also assuming if I keep my 2 harness I should get a obd2 vtec dizzy? or can I get away with getting a cheaper obd1 vtec dizzy and rewire it to match the 2?

its a budget LS-V but Im still trying to do everything right so keep that in mind when trying to help .

If none of this makes sense, let me know and I'll attempt to clarify

Thanks HT

Reuse your engine harness. Use a "chipped" P28 with a reliable base map. This will simplify things by deleting a good number of OBD2 sensors and the knock sensor (2nd O2, CKF).All the connectors will work. You'll have to add the wiring for VTEC. If you can find an OBD2 VTEC engine distributor that would be the easiest route. Otherwise you can use an OBD1 and swap the internals over or use a distributor adapter.

My harness is a GSR harness so it already has vtec wired into it.. as for the ECU how would I know if its a reliable basemap? what is a decent "cookie cutter" with no better words to use, basemap example? by chipping it gives the ability for the SOHC ecu to run DOHC correct?

Also is a p30 ecu also a viable ecu to use? (either obd1 or 2)
