speedometer is not working...
I've check the Speed sensor connectors and they are in place. What else could it be besides bad sensor or bad connection? Any thoughts on this? BTW, its a 92 si with a gsr motor.
did it ever work or did u just do the swap cause when i swapped my motor into my car they said i had to change the speedometer cause it was cable and my engine is elecrtirc or digital or something
Do you have any type of aftermarket gauge faces? Sometimes they slide down and put weight on the needle holding it down. Happened to my temp. gauge.

I'm guessing you have a mechanical speedometer since it's a 92 Si. Based on that - have you checked the mechanical part of it? The cable could have slipped out of the back of the gauge cluster or slipped out of the transmission. Check it - on my CRX the cable came out of the gauge cluster and when I put it back everything was fine. I don't believe the VSS has anything to do with the speedometer gauge - isn't the speedometer fully mechanical?
92+ civic comes w/ electronic speedo, not mechanical.
doublecheck alllllll the VSS stuff
i FINALLY got mine fixed. every time i hit vtec my spedo would jump and flutter to about 120mph (no matter what speed) one of the connectors got seperated a little too far and there was a continuity issue. crimped it back down, no problems
Sorry...that was just my assumption since I have an 89 CRX w/ mechanical and 92 is close to that year. That was the reason for my semi-disclaimer at the beginning of my post.
