Default Quick-shifter

Heya everyone,

This is a really question, but I haven't been too successful in finding info on the web...

What is a quick-shifter? How does it work? Pros/cons?

Thanks in advance

If you're refering to a short shifter, they make the throws into each gear shorter. you don't have to push or pull the stick as far up and down. Side to side is still the same as far as i know. pretty sure that's it works anyway, wouldn't quote me

I've got the Skunk2 short shifter and it's great. I agree that if you don't "learn" to shift again witht he new shifter your synchro's will die, but as long as you get used to the shorter throw before you start slamming and grinding then you should be fine. I had an OBX short throw ******* and it snapped after 3 weeks. I had already ordered my Skunk2 though b/c the OBX was TOOOO short. The Skunk2 seems perfect. Just a little shorter than stock. Haven't ground a gear or missed a gear yet.
