people ruin syncros not short shifters

I have the dual bend for my civic and wish I bought it first instead of the rattling B&M shiter.

Was it expensive to change your syncros? I wanted to get the short shifter so that my shifts would feel better and I would be able to decrease the amount of time it takes to shift gears. I was hoping this would make my times a little faster.

faster shifting = better times......power shifiting = broke trannys and shot 2-3 syncros and 3-4 syncros....rebuilding trannys gets expensive....but def short shifters make life nice......look at it this way (work = force x distance....less distance = less work) good for my lazy azz

You have less leverage due to a shorter shift lever, thus more force. Every car with a short shifter installed always requires more force to change gears, that's physics. Think about it like a breaker bar for busting nuts/bolts loose....same concept.

Short shifter or not, your shifting too fast. I have 35K miles on my R & had the short shifter since 6K miles with no probs.

Some people have a bad foot and hand coordination. It's all in timing. I've my short shifter since the car had 300 miles, i have over 50k and everything is still fine.
