Default oversized piston question

If I use .40 over pistons in my B18C block will it have to be sleeved or will it be ok with just a block guard?

block guard is pretty much obsolete nowadays cause it sucks.
I would not go over 82mm on stock sleeves

from what i know all a BG does is keep the sleeves from shifting...so it would be pointless to use in your case
