Did you install your thermostat correctly? I remember one post a little while ago where the guy put the thermostat in backwards.

Also check your fans and see if they're coming on. If they're not working, your car could overheat.

i haven't put the new thermostat in and my fans come on when it gets hot.so its either a air bubble in the system, ablown head gasket,or bad water pump.but i don't think its a blown head gasket because it won't overheat at idle,it overheats when im going around 60 80 mph. and as far as i know my water pump is working.do you think it may be a bad radiator cap? i need help thanks

Thats only at low speeds, at high speeds it shouldnt matter

im guessing upside down thermostat as well. check the level of your rad too. you can do a pressure test, but youd have to go down to a shop (im guessing a privater doesnt have a pressure tester).

do a complete flush of the system, and make absolute sure there is no air inside the water system.

also make sure the thermostat is installed correctly, and the gasket is sealed properly as well.
