I don't think think the IVETC would be that big of a problem, the plastic Intake Manifold has been known to Blow into hundreds of pieces from a little bit of lit nitrous (be it NOS, Holley, NX, Edelbrock....) though.
That would be a worse problem to consider. IVETC......probably not a big deal

So please be careful

its NOT a good idea on the 2k2 si
for the intake manifold reason listed
and the fact that ivtec advances the timing automatically
advanced timing+nos=detonation=bye bye new engine.

You'll blow the welds off your intake. I think thats how it goes?

i thought ivtec advances the intake cam timing, not the ignition timing. advanced cam timing won't hurt things at all.

But if the Distribtor reads the intake cam for when to fire where, advancing the intake cam would do the same to the ignition timing. That's just how it sits on B-series. And, I could be blowing thick, black smoke out my ***, because I know nothing about the ***-backwards, oops, I mean new Si
