MSD Coil/6al HELP!
...odd problem, so im wiring up me msd 6al unit, and coil...the blaster 2 not the clyinder unit. and i get no spark to my modified msd cap..? i mean the wiring is excatly correct i had it checked by two different people. even if i bypass the 6al and run to the coil directly i have no spark...
if the 6al is wired up, power doesn't reach the coil period... so i figured the 6al is bad... then after the bypass i tested the coil with ing. on and i had power on both terminals..?? but still no spark from the coil unit..??!!?!?!?
help please..
its a 2001 gsr with a obd2 dizzy..also did notice that the power wire in the dizzy had two wires spliced toghter from the factory ( black and red ) , also they weren't black and red... they were black and white...the white and blue was fine ( ground )..??

I'm not sure how all of your wires are connected, but I do know some tests for MSD parts. Start by checking all of your grounds. Next, test the red wire from the MSD box. Make sure there is 12v. Disconnect the coil wire from the cap and place the terminal about 1/4" away from a clean ground. Disconnect the white MSD wire. Touch it to the ground and release it, watching the coil wire for spark. Replace the coil if there is no spark and retest. If there is spark with either coil, the MSD box is good.
