MSD issues...
Only occurs in 3rd gear or higher at full boost(~15lbs) It seems like an ignition misfire. I know there've previous posts about experiences with similar MSD setups but try and bare with me here.
AEM EMS(if it matters)
MSD 6AL
MSD Blaster SS coil
MSD cap/plug wires
BK7RE's gapped to ~.026
Checked the resistance in the wires, and they were fine, my plugs are good. Weird thing, I checked my coil for power when the car was on with a multimeter, and the coil had no power. Yet the car was running? I attempted to bypass the MSD box, by supplying the coil direct 12v power, and the ground wire from the ECU that tells the msd when to fire..and the car wouldnt start. Also checked the voltage in the plug wires, I was seeing no more than 18000 volts in the coil wire(coil is rated at 45,000 volts) and no more than 13000-14000 in any of the plug wires. Is my coil bad?

Re: MSD issues... (Cpt Ben)
It could be 1 of 2 things that i can think of...
1, you would be blowing out the spark with the plugs gapped at .26... try gapping the plugs around .20
2, detonation - depending on your fuel set up, it would be leaning out with that much boost...
Most likely the problem is #1...

Re: (Cpt Ben)
yea, i dont think its detonation, but detonation is always a possibility when boosting...
try the .020 gap and hopefully the problem is solved... I gap my plugs at .020 with no problems...
