Was wondering do you lose compression when you motor swap a new motor in a car? If, so does anyone know what the compression would be for a jdm gsr motor and a jdm sir2 motor?
Why and how would you lose compression just from swapping?......your not gonna lose any.

hmmmmm cuz i got a friend who says you lose compression when you remove the motor and swaping in another motor. I of course didn't believe this but I just want to prove him wrong so please help out.
Ummm . . . if you swap to a lower compression motor I guess you will. I mean it's all in the motor. Last I checked your chassis didn't hold your compression in your engine. This is hurting my head. Why would that make a difference? Tell him to get some LED washer lights or something.

compression is how much air/fuel is compressed when the piston moves up and reaches top dead center (TDC) thats a VERY basic explination.
so compression is related to the motor. not to the car.
you take 1 motor and put it in 2 diffrent cars. the compression dosent change.

tell your "friend" that compression may change
that is it may increase or it may decrease when swaping...
it depends on which engine you swap in and out.

(not that i have my suspicion that your "friend" was really YOU!)
Hmm.. The last time I swapped in a Power Window MOTOR it didn't cause a compression problem. But I think it did cause a Tire Pressure in the Spare Tire problem.
J/K.. Just wanted to let you know that a MOTOR runs on electricity. An Engine runs on gas..
Because if I was a Parts guy and you asked me for the price of GSR MOTOR, I would've asked which one?.. The Power Window Motor??..
