MAP sensor, CEL comes on when i either get on it or the BOV goes off, photo's
whats goin on guys....my check engine light goes off and gives a code 3 for a map sensor, the check engine comes on only when im in low RPM, bring it to WOT and start boosting, or if i bring it to WOT while im at high RPM's and when the blow off valve goes off, press the clutch...let off of the gas, when i turn my car off and back on the check engine light goes away, and comes back when i floor it or let go off the gas, get out of gear, so on...
oh yeah...its a 93 civic DX with a d15b7,
now..when i bought the car the throttle body had this little thing in it....could this be the problem?? it is a foreign object!!
or could it be that the vacuum line to my BOV is to long, i've heard the shorter the better??
could it be that my BOV is open to much or to less?
or is the MAP sensor faulty? or however its spelled.
all help/advice is greatly appreciated!, thank you in advance!!

Re: (project-boosteD)
On the fuel rail should be a brownish colored cylindrical object with a small diameter hose running to it. That's the fuel regulator and line I believe was mentioned.

you need a check valve not a one way valve .
if you put in a one way valve in line with the MAP sensor it will hold pressuer abnd really screw up your program ,
a check valve will let pessuer out before the map can see the boost , or you can get crome/uberdata for free and never have to worry about any of this stuff , and ditch the "boxes"
oh and there both free

that random metal thing is NOT supposed to be there. it is the spot where the idle adjustment screw is located.
are you sure that the "box" you have is properly wired into the car?
