put a 93 ls in a 91 teg, had idle problems for a while ended up being something stupid the adjustment bolts on the throttle cable where pulling it up too high anyway now thats fixed i have no fast idle. in proccess of trying to fix the flectuating idle i did pull off the fits twice, anything an amature could mess up? as soon as i idle it with my foot it idles perfect at 750to1000 any pointers or things to check would be awesome.

so its idleing to low and you have to give it throttle to keep it at the 750-1k rom range for factory idle? if thats the case adjust the idle screw on the throttle body.

 

no when i start the car there is no cold fast idle. it wants to bog to 500- and it dies. if i put my foot on the gas and warm it up after a min ish its fine idles at factory standard so the prob is in the fast idle

 

still stumped on this one. dont even know where to start, no one has any pointers? never happen to anyone? ive found if i put my foot on the gas right when i start it for 20 secs or so it will go into cold fast idle, but on its own it will bog to 500 and die without help
